Soft and moist apple cinnamon coffee cake with fresh apples and a delicious crumb topping! This apple streusel bread can be served with coffee for a special breakfast or with vanilla ice cream during apple season.
– 2 cups all-purpose flour– 1 +½ cup apples – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon– 1 teaspoon baking powder– ½ teaspoon salt– 2 large eggs – ½ cup unsalted butter– ¾ cup white sugar– ½ cup milk – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Ingredient
Direction
Heat oven to 350 F. Combine eggs, butter, sugars, and vanilla in a low-speed electric mixer. Remix until blended.
1
Add the flour mixture to the buttery sugar mixture after combining it in a separate medium bowl. Add the apples and fold in.
2
The ingredients for the streusel topping should be combined in a big bowl to form crumbs.
3
The simplest way to do this is with your hands. Half of the batter should be added to a 9 by 5 inch square pan or loaf tin.
4
After the buttery cake has rested in the pan for fifteen minutes, turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely. Serve immediately after slicing.
5
Carefully add another layer of batter after adding half of the streusel topping. Apply the streusel topping to the cake's top.
6
As I did with this recipe for Blueberry Cream Cheese Bread, you can alternatively drizzle some icing on the bread.
7
Bake for sixty minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out mostly clean, mostly dry, or flecked with bread crumbs.
8
Allow the buttery cake to cool for 15 minutes in the tin before transferring it to a wire rack. Make slices and serve immediately.
