Air Fryer Asparagus Recipe

INGREDIENT
– 1 pound asparagus trimmed
– 2 tsp avocado oil
– 1/2 tsp garlic powder
– 1/4 tsp sea salt
Optional Addition
– 1/2 tsp fresh lemon zest
– 2 Tbsp parmesan cheese grated
– 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flake
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the air fryer for 4 minutes at 400°F. Clean the asparagus spears with lukewarm water and dry them with a paper towel.
Step 1
Cut the raw asparagus' woody ends 1.5 to 2 inches off the bottom with a sharp knife on a cutting board. Discard asparagus' barky ends.
Step 2
Place trimmed asparagus spears on a large plate, bowl, or sheet pan and drizzle with avocado oil. Season with garlic powder and sea salt.
Step 3
Toss everything with your hands to coat asparagus stalks in oil and seasonings. Place the asparagus spears in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Step 4
Air fry asparagus at 400 degrees F for 6-8 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden brown. Air-fry thin asparagus spears for 4–6 minutes.
Step 5
Thicker spears may take 8-10 minutes longer, depending on doneness. After air-frying, serve asparagus with lemon zest and crushed red pepper flakes.
Step 6
For a tasty side, grate fresh parmesan cheese over asparagus. For easy dipping, make hollandaise or melted butter.
