Easy Homemade Lasagna Recipe

Place the meat mixture in a large skillet over medium-high heat and add oil.

After browned, break meat with wooden spoon. Finish pink-free. Grease drain.Stir the onion and garlic in the simmering oil for one minute with a wooden spoon. Add ground sausage and meat.

Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. Simmer on low for 30 minutes with stirring. Mix in spinach and simmer until wilted. Stop cooking and set aside.

Make cheese mixture: In a large bowl, mix ricotta, parmesan, 2 cups mozzarella, beaten egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly.

To prepare lasagna, lightly butter a 9x13 casserole dish with olive oil. Cover the bottom with 1/2 cup of the meat mixture and one layer of prepared lasagna noodles.

Spread 1/2 cheese mixture and top with 1/2 meat mixture. Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce and sprinkle 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese from the remaining cup.

Add another layer of lasagna noodles, the remaining cheese mixture, the beef mixture, a cup of marinara sauce, and 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese.

Bake: Preheat oven to 375 F. Bake 40 minutes. To get the cheese golden brown and bubbling, broil towards the end.

Serve After baking, let lasagna rest for 15–30 minutes before slicing. Add parsley and serve.
