Grilled Steak Kabobs Recipe

Fresh off the grill steak kabobs are packed with savory flavors! These simple steak kabobs are the perfect summer BBQ main course.

INGREDIENT

– 1 pound NY Strip Steak chopped into 2-inch chunk – 2 Tbsp avocado oil – 3 Tbsp liquid aminos or soy sauce – 1 tsp garlic powder – 1 tsp onion powder Vegetables For Shish Kabobs: – 1 red bell pepper – 1 green bell pepper – 1 orange bell pepper – 1 red onion – 2 Tbsp avocado oil – 1 Tbsp liquid aminos or soy sauce

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix marinade ingredients with 2-inch steak cubes in a bowl. Stir marinade into steak chunks. Wrap the bowl in plastic.

Step 1

Alternatively, seal everything in a large plastic bag. Shake sealed bag. Refrigerate marinated steak for 10–12 hours.

Step 2

Light a charcoal grill 20 minutes before grilling. First, soak wooden skewers in water for 20 minutes, preferably submerged. They'll be less likely to catch fire from the grill.

Step 3

Before making skewers, cut the bell peppers and onion and mix them with avocado oil and liquid aminos (or soy sauce) in a large bowl.

Step 4

To use all the marinated meat and vegetables, skewer steak cubes and vegetables. Depending on length, this should yield 6–8 large skewers. Heat a gas grill to 500°F.

Step 5

Over direct heat, grill kabobs for 8–10 minutes, flipping once or twice, until done. On a hot grill, flip skewers every 2-3 minutes to avoid burning. Your preferred grill time depends on meat doneness.

Step 6

Place cooked BBQ steak kabobs on a platter, baking sheet, or large plate. Rest the meat for 5 minutes before serving.
