Chocolate chip cookies made with oat flour taste like all-purpose flour cookies! Delicious gluten-free treat.
INGREDIENT
– 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter softened*– ½ cup (100g) brown sugar**– 1 tsp pure vanilla extract– 1 large egg at room temperature– 1 1/2 cups (175g ) oat flour– ¼ tsp ground cinnamon optional– 1 tsp baking powder– ¼ tsp baking soda– 1/2 tsp sea salt***– 1 cup (170g) chocolate chip
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla extract in a stand mixer with a paddle attachment until fluffy.
Step 1
Note: you can mix the ingredients by hand in a large bowl or with an electric hand mixer. Use a rubber spatula to scrape the bowl sides and add the egg. Beat wet ingredients until combined.
Step 2
Mix oat flour, ground cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and sea salt in a medium bowl. Refrigerate the cookie dough for 30 minutes in a plastic-wrapped bowl.
Step 3
Pre-heat the oven to 350°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper
before baking the cookies.
Step 4
Bake cookies for 9–11 minutes until edges are slightly golden brown and done to your liking.
Step 5
Serve cookies after 10 minutes of cooling. You can move cookies to a cooling rack after 10 minutes.
