Teriyaki Steak Bites are simple to make in a skillet, oven, or air fryer! Steak bites make a tasty appetiser, snack, or main dish for meat lovers. For a complete meal, serve them with your favourite sides!
INGREDIENT
– 1 lb steak cut into bite-sized pieces*– 2/3 cup teriyaki sauce divided**
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces on a cutting board with a sharp knife.
Step 1
Place steak chunks in a large zip lock bag with ½ cup teriyaki sauce. Move everything to sauce the steak and seal the bag. 15 minutes, 1–3 hours, or 24 hours refrigerated.
Step 2
Cook steak bites in a large cast iron skillet with 1–2 tablespoons avocado, vegetable, olive, or cooking oil. A 12-inch cast iron skillet can cook all the bites and leave room. Medium-high heat the skillet until sizzling.
Step 3
Drain marinade before carefully placing steak bites on hot skillet. Two minutes per side until steak bites are crispy cooked to your liking. Cooking time depends on steak preference.
Step 4
Cook two sides on medium for two minutes or longer for a glaze over medium-high heat for medium-rare. Crispy medium-rare steak bites are rare. Heat the skillet and watch the steak bites to avoid overcooking and get a deep golden brown.
Step 5
Don't care about medium-rare steak bites? Get the best golden brown crust. Teriyaki sauce should caramelise around the steak bites, so stir or flip it last.
Step 6
Serve teriyaki steak bites with extra sauce, stir fry, and favourite sides. Serve them with a small bowl of teriyaki sauce, sesame seeds, and green onions as an appetiser.
